Prime Original ‘Raakh’ trends No. 1 in 23 countries during Amazon’s Prime Day 2026

Prime Video premiered a lineup of Indian and international titles during Amazon India’s Prime Day 2026, including Drishyam 3, Gram Chikitsalay, Karuppu, Project Hail Mary, The Sheep Detectives and Your Fault: London. The standout was the Prime Original series Raakh, which became the biggest debut for any Prime Original in the last two years.

Raakh trended No. 1 in 23 countries, entered the Top 10 in 60 countries, and was streamed in 198 countries and territories, according to Amazon.

The entertainment push coincided with what Amazon India called its fastest-ever Prime Day, the 10th edition of the annual sale. In cities with Amazon Now, one in two items on deal were delivered in just minutes, and same-day deliveries surged more than 3X compared to last year, with one in four Prime Day orders reaching customers the same day.

More than 70% of new Prime membership sign-ups came from tier 2 and 3 cities, reinforcing the programme’s reach beyond metros. Nearly one in two shoppers chose Amazon Pay as their payment method during the sale, and Amazon Pay Later grew more than 2.5X year-on-year.

The sale also saw the highest-ever participation from small and medium businesses, with a record number of sellers crossing Rs 10 lakh in sales and more than two-thirds of participating SMBs coming from tier 2 and 3 cities.
