GIGABYTE has introduced the GAMING A16, the first gaming laptop it has manufactured in India, powered by an AMD Ryzen processor and built to deliver gaming and AI-ready computing using AMD’s technologies. The launch marks a shift for the Taiwanese hardware brand, which is now producing part of its gaming lineup domestically rather than relying solely on imports.

The local manufacturing run comes through a new partnership with Dixon Technologies, which GIGABYTE says combines its global engineering and quality standards with Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities. GIGABYTE’s leadership team worked closely with Dixon at every stage of the project to make sure the India-built lineup meets the company’s global benchmarks for performance, reliability and quality.

Sinclair Hsiao, GIGABYTE’s vice president of global sales, visited India alongside senior leaders from the company’s headquarters representing Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance to mark the launch. ‘The launch of our first Made in India gaming laptop lineup, powered by AMD Ryzen processors, is more than a manufacturing milestone, it represents GIGABYTE’s long-term commitment to the Indian market,’ Hsiao said.

‘India has become one of the most exciting technology and gaming markets in the world, and we believe Indian consumers deserve products built to the same uncompromising global standards that gamers everywhere expect from GIGABYTE,’ he said, adding that the company plans to keep expanding its local manufacturing capabilities.

GIGABYTE described India as one of the world’s most dynamic PC and gaming markets, pointing to a rapidly growing community of gamers, creators, students and technology enthusiasts as the driver behind its expanded investment. The company said pairing local production with global expertise is meant to strengthen supply chain resilience and improve its responsiveness to the Indian market.

GIGABYTE called the GAMING A16’s launch the start of a new chapter in its India operations, built on innovation, collaboration with manufacturing partners like Dixon Technologies, and a longer-term push into the country’s gaming hardware segment.
