‘Confidence in India’s talent’: Synchrony opens its largest experience centre in Hyderabad

‘The investment reflects confidence in India’s talent,’ Synchrony’s executive vice president and chief technology officer Florin Arghirescu said, as the US financial services company opened its largest global experience centre and innovation station at its Hyderabad campus, a nearly 6,000-square-foot facility that becomes its third such centre worldwide after two in the United States.

The centre is built as an immersive hub, letting employees, customers and partners walk through Synchrony’s products and business capabilities via interactive customer journeys and virtual reality demonstrations. Real-world use cases span the company’s health and wellness, home and auto, lifestyle, digital and diversified value platforms.

Right beside it is an innovation station, where employees can get hands-on with emerging technologies, build prototypes, test ideas and take part in innovation challenges and hackathons. Synchrony said the combined spaces are meant to support collaboration, continuous learning and innovation across teams.

Arghirescu’s comment on India’s talent points to the company’s wider bet on its technology, AI and enterprise platform work out of the country.

Rachana Bahadur, senior vice president and country head for India, said the centre was designed for more than 6,000 colleagues, giving teams a direct way to connect their work with the impact it has on customers.
