1 Seat, National Eligibility Bar: CURAJ’s Senior Research Fellow Recruitment Ends Today

CURAJ's Senior Research Fellow post at its Ajmer campus requires NET/GATE qualification and R&D experience, with applications closing 12 July 2026.

A single research seat, a national-level eligibility bar, and a deadline that falls today — the Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is recruiting one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for its Bandarsindri campus in Ajmer, with applications closing 12 July 2026.

To qualify, candidates need an M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Botany, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or an equivalent discipline with a minimum of 60 percent marks or CGPA, plus a CSIR-UGC NET, UGC NET (including Lectureship eligibility), and/or a valid GATE score, along with at least two years of relevant Research & Development experience.

Candidates apply online at curaj.ac.in. CURAJ has been upfront that with only one vacancy, the competition for this seat is expected to be intense, and has advised applicants to submit well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

The post is a temporary, project-linked fellowship, part of CURAJ’s broader pattern of hiring Junior Research Fellows, Senior Research Fellows, Research Associates, and Project Assistants for government-funded and collaborative research across departments including Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Science.

Pay for the role follows the norms of the project’s funding agency — CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, or ICAR, depending on the sponsor — with House Rent Allowance admissible as per rules; CURAJ notes that fellowship posts of this kind generally don’t carry an application fee, subject to confirmation in the official notification.

Selection proceeds through screening of applications, merit-based shortlisting, an interview or personal discussion, and document verification of the selected candidate — CURAJ has cautioned that fulfilling minimum eligibility alone doesn’t guarantee a call for interview.
