1 Post, ₹30,000 a Month: IIT Kanpur’s Latest Research Hiring Round

IIT Kanpur has opened a single Project Associate-I vacancy in its Department of Chemistry, tied to research on Terahertz (THz) Spectroscopy, with applications due by 22 July 2026.

To be eligible, candidates need a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Physics, along with relevant computational research experience such as molecular modelling, spectroscopic simulation, or theoretical/computational chemistry and physics work.

Applications are accepted online only, through iitk.ac.in under the Careers or R&D Project Positions section, and the institute has not prescribed any application fee for this post.

The position pays a consolidated ₹30,000 per month, with House Rent Allowance for candidates living outside campus accommodation, and is based at the IIT Kanpur campus in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Selection proceeds through screening based on qualification and research background, a personal interview held online or offline, and a final decision based on interview performance, academic record, and suitability for the project.

The role is temporary and project-linked, contingent on the research project’s funding and duration, with shortlisted candidates notified via the email address and phone number given at the time of application.
